The Anointing of the Sick
This sacrament is provided by the Church for those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age. Anyone who is seriously ill is eligible. In old age, almost any illness takes on a serious nature. A person may also receive the sacrament prior to a serious operation.
Communion to Hospitals, Nursing Homes and the Homebound is provided by our Eucharistic Ministers and our Pastoral Care Ministers.

Viaticum
Viaticum is the last sacrament of the Christian life, and is celebrated when death is near. In this case, the sacrament of the sick encompasses a broader ceremony which includes Viaticum (last Communion—food for the homeward journey) and a blessing.
